Oareedar
Overview
Its shell conceals a long, whip-like body which can strike out in a fraction of a second. It will impale its prey on its venomous fangs, which injects a neurotoxin that incapacitates the victim within seconds. It will usually lie concealed on the seafloor, waiting for prey. However, if it is discovered, it can use the twin water jets protruding from its shell to make a quick escape. It's even been known to jump out of the water; sometimes feral specimens fatally collide with unsuspecting boaters and water skiers.
Really liking the combination of different mollusks on this one. The jumping habit and the potential harm they’re stated to cause while doing this reminds me of the invasive Asian Carp.
